Volunteer
There is a volunteer opportunity here for everyone.
We offer flexible hours Tuesday through Saturday — during regular museum hours or at special events.
Get involved in history
The museum holds a large collection of Abraham Lincoln, Lincoln College and local history artifacts. Volunteers work hands-on with the collection, transcribing and cataloguing documents.
Greet visitors
Join the museum staff in welcoming and guiding visitors. Helping at the front desk is a chance to share the life, legacy and character of Abraham Lincoln — and to be part of special events like field trips and the Civil War Walk.
Behind the scenes
For those who enjoy a desk assignment there is plenty to do: database entry, mailings and general administrative work — or lend your time and skills at special events and hands-on visitor experiences.

Lincoln Heritage Museum offers internships to qualified undergraduate students, recent graduates and current graduate students. Internships typically take place during the spring, summer or fall semesters.
